For Families
Many first conversations with Next Path Financial begin with a family member. This page covers what a family member needs to know.
A family member may make the first call and stay involved throughout, including covering the fee, and many do. The engagement proceeds with the client’s agreement, at the client’s pace, and every decision along the way is theirs.

Common Questions
from Family Members
Can I make the first call?
Yes. Many exploratory calls are arranged by a family member, and the conversation can begin before anyone has decided anything. The engagement itself begins once we have met the client and they want to proceed.
Can I be involved if I cannot be there in person?
Yes. Family members join meetings by video, and with the client’s permission we keep the family up to date as the work moves along. The in-person work happens in the home, which is often the reason a family reaches out.
Who pays for the engagement?
The fee can be paid by the client or by a family member; both are common. Rates for all three services are published on the Services page.
Will anyone be sold investments or insurance?
No. Next Path is fee-only and advice-only. We do not sell products, earn commissions, or receive referral fees, and we never tell clients what to do with their money.
Does Next Path replace a financial advisor, accountant, or lawyer?
No. Next Path organizes and documents. Advisors, accountants, and lawyers keep their roles, and the Financial System records who they are and what each one handles.
What if they are not ready?
Then the engagement waits. Some families start with the free In Good Order Checklist or an article instead, and return when the timing is right.
